Pole Barn Builders in Fenton, Linden & Argentine, MI
The Fenton corridor is thirty-five minutes up US-23 from our shop, and it is the part of Genesee County where the acreage is.
Mich Barn builds post-frame garages, shops and horse barns throughout the Fenton corridor — Fenton, Linden, Argentine, Fenton Township, Tyrone and the southern Genesee lakes area. We are about 35 minutes north on US-23. This is one of our most active corridors because it sits directly between Livingston County and the Flint-area market.
Fenton, Linden and Argentine are lake-and-acreage country — properties large enough for a real outbuilding, close enough to US-23 that the drive is nothing, and the kind of place where a boat, a trailer and a truck all need to live somewhere over the winter. Most of what we build here is a detached garage or shop in the 30x40 to 40x60 range, frequently with a lean-to for the trailer.
We build this corridor specifically rather than Genesee County generally. Further north the economics change — the market gets more price-driven and less interested in engineered components, which is not where we compete well. We would rather tell you that than pretend otherwise.

Pole barns in the Fenton area — common questions
Do you build pole barns in Fenton, MI?
Yes. Fenton is about 35 minutes north of our Brighton shop on US-23 and is one of our most active corridors. We build garages, shops, horse barns and storage buildings throughout Fenton, Linden, Argentine and the surrounding townships.
What does a pole barn cost in the Fenton area?
Fenton-area projects follow Michigan pricing: roughly $18 to $38 per square foot for the shell. A 30x40 typically lands between $22,000 and $46,000 before concrete. Lake-lot access sometimes adds staging cost, which we quote up front.
Can you build on a lake lot?
Often, but lake and waterfront parcels carry extra setback, septic and sometimes shoreline rules, and access for a delivery truck can be the real constraint. We walk it before quoting rather than discovering it on delivery day.
